The sydicate guys sure know how to run things!!

Here's the Operation Syndicate mix done for them:

JPS - Operation Syndicate by SyndicateSG
The air seems strangely calm, husbands kiss wives, children play unaware of the pending change, life as they knew it would never be the same again. The spread of information intensifies, people are more aware.

Rebellion looms, they are no longer slaves of autocratic tyrants, corporate monsters who seek to control them with threats of physical destruction and mind numbing media bacteria that infect the depths of the soul.

Revolt, she has arrived…The battles wage on and the rumble carries through the earth, but there already is unbalance, shifting time, as it moves into a new age, walls tumble and the seas grow. The future is unknown, but life carries on for the chosen few.

- Dedicated to all those in strife all over the world……… let us unite and turn this world around.

// JPS (The Operatives)

and the amazing teaser video:

28/3/11

Syndicate returns for its second installment of 2011 featuring the leading exponent of the Australian bass & beats movement, JPS of the Operatives

LINE UP:
JPS [THE OPERATIVES / AUSTRALIA]
MC MASTERPIECE [PUSHIN’ON] (LIVE)
FUNK BAST*RD [DARKER THAN WAX]
MAX LANE (LIVE)
IZAAK STERN
DARREN DUBWISE

VISUALS BY:
BRANDON TAY & RAFI DEAN

After a banging first anniversary last February, Syndicate marches on for the year featuring the guy who single-handedly has pushed the forward thinking sound Down Under. A Singaporean who has made Melbourne home for the past decade, JPS is both an artist and a promoter who has organized tours and played alongside the likes of Flying Lotus, Gaslamp Killer and Dam-Funk. Recently, JPS made history recently by hosting the first Flying Lotus live band concert in the Pacific.

Having played to packed crowds in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and US, JPS released two singles together with one of his Operatives partners, Hooves, under Qilin Music late last year in conjunction with the Syndicate EP drop from the same label. This dub styled warrior always keep it fresh and running and will surely keep you moving.

Also making his Syndicate debut, will be HAS. This eclectic DJ/producer who recently dropped his ten-track album, 10 Kingdom, under his own imprint, RAWJAK, has been getting the attention of global luminaries such as Peter Kruder, Shit Robot and Rasmus Faber.

After delivering a memorable set with his own brand of button-pushing soul at the last Syndicate, MC Masterpiece from the Pushin’On collective is back with his bagful of gears. Be prepared for more surprises and gyrating vocal work melodies from our very own electronic-soul performer.

The Syndicate residents, Max Lane, Izaak Stern and Darren Dubwise will keep the bass and beats going through the night while the usual duo of Brandon Tay and Rafi Dean get back to their controls to pilot the visuals.

ABOUT SYNDICATE

Against a sanitized backdrop of fast food music, Syndicate was conceived over rounds of beers to reduce the growing impact of harmful beats and caveman frequencies in the accelerated world today. Along the way, it transmogrified into a serious idea to create a space for sonic expression and visual experience in post-efficient Singapore. What initially appeared as rounds of accidental & random recruitment exercise soon resulted in the formation of an audio-visual collective with names that are no strangers to the scene and some that are just strange.

Propelled by the inactivity in the electronic margins of the sunny island, Syndicate is here as a super-collective to fill a void. It is now set to tear apart music categorization and regurgitate something to call its own.

Melbourne music sweethearts have come through with a fantastic new blog, check it now, exclusive frsh mix from DJ Marky!!

We are Allsorts. We are Dust and Fiend. And we are pretty fucking awesome. Even if we do say so ourselves. And we do. We are both DJs from Melbourne and have been for some time now (not saying how long because frankly it makes us much older than either of us care to admit). We play and love drum and bass, house, dubstep, techno, UK funky, hip hop and everything in between.

This blog is our chance to share with the world what we love the most. That means mostly music. But you might also find a bit of design stuff, photography, illustrations and some other steez.
