Music for prophet is the sixth full length album from Klute who, in a career spanning over three decades, has now released nearly as many LPs as the Sugababes. Devoted disciples of drum & bass and well... all kinds of music, will be pleased to hear Klute focusing on the kind of classic sound he does best and making an album with broad appeal, beyond the confines of just the club and kitchen. Music for prophet draws together myriad influences for a fantastic voyage of musical diversity whilst stopping off for cups of tea with the likes of the Beach Boys, Jeff Mills, Giorgio Moroder, John Carpenter, Brian Eno, Claudine Longet, Suburban Knight, Scott Walker, Noise Factory, Lata Mangeshkar, Ben Watt and My Bloody Valentine.

Powerful, musical and emotive, the album moves through the serene and blissful opening scenes of “Knowing How To Get There” before rapidly gathering pace with the rolling breaks and driving bass of “Strange Dinner.” “Blackpony” takes us on a curious ride (proving to be a dark horse indeed) whilst the brooding and menacing “Make it Stop” builds further momentum. Fellow drum & bass legend Dom & Roland (DRP, Moving Shadow) drops in for a guest appearance on “Buy More Now” before the album closes, reaching sanctuary with “Always Dreaming.” Recent single “Ashram” (DJ Mag Single of the Month and BBC Radio 1 favourite) is also included.

Digital consumers will be rewarded for downloading from within the comfort and safety of their own homes with a bonus second album called Authority Belief – a 10 track exploration of Klute’s techno roots where bleeps, breakbeats and 4x4 kick drums move in funky and mysterious ways.

Klute remains a unique and creative force in drum & bass, with releases across some of the most respected labels including Metalheadz, Hospital, Shogun, Soul:r and his own Commercial Suicide imprint plus consistent support outside the scene from the likes of DJ Pathaan, Bobby Friction & Nihal, Mary Anne Hobbs and the late, great John Peel. When he’s not busy smashing the shit out of audiences worldwide with his extreme hardcore punk band “The Stupids,” Klute will be travelling the globe for an album tour covering the UK & Europe, USA, Australia and New Zealand.

DJ support has been coming from the usual suspects plus a few other names you might have heard of including: Goldie, Marcus Intalex, John B, Andy C, Black Sun Empire, Friction and DJ Presha

Dom & Roland “stunning stuff, I learnt so much working together” El Hornet (Pendulum) “the master of the romantic Amen returns. I love it”

Goldie “I owe it all to this man – thank you Klute”

Marcus Intalex “this just reaffirms why I love life”
